Andrea J. Young is the CEO of the Colorado Technology Association (CTA). Andrea is a dynamic technology executive with more than 20 years experience driving innovation and growth for multiple industries within the Colorado tech economy. She enjoys solving complex business challenges through innovative solutions for a variety of industries which include electronics manufacturing, financial services, software product development, and services-related businesses.
Andrea enjoys leading transformational change in fast-paced work environments and has consistently been at the forefront of business and technological advances throughout her Colorado-based career. She began her career building state of the art telecommunications platforms for commercial real estate in the Denver Tech Center. From there, her career led her to two highly impactful periods as Chief Information and Chief Technology Officer. First, with Janus Capital Group, located in Denver, and second, with BI Incorporated, a GEO Group Company, located in Boulder.
In addition to her primary responsibilities as CEO of CTA, Andrea has been an active leader within the industries and communities she has served. Young is no stranger to CTA. She joined the Board of Directors in 2010, serving as Committee Chair for several key initiatives and as Chairperson of the Board in 2013. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems, and Masters in Business Administration from University of Denver.
