Jensine (Yen-See-Nah) Larsen, an award-winning social media entrepreneur and international journalist, is the founder of World Pulse, a digital media network connecting women worldwide and bringing them a global voice. Today World Pulse is powered by 60,000 women from 190 countries who are collectively improving the lives of 2.2 million people.
Jensine has also pioneered World Pulse magazine, grassroots women’s citizen journalism training, and an interactive website that enables women on the ground to speak for themselves and connect to solve global problems – including those using internet cafes and cell phones from rural villages and conflict zones.
For over a decade Jensine has made it her job to listen to women on the ground around the world. She is a frequent speaker on how social media and technological innovation is a powerful accelerator for women’s global empowerment, appearing in media and on stages from NPR and the Clinton Global Initiative to TED.
In his best selling book, “Half the Sky” New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof recommends joining World Pulse as one of the top 4 things you can do in 10 minutes to support women globally.
