Chantal Pierrat, Founder
For over ten years, Chantal served as the VP of Sales and Marketing for Sounds True, a multimedia publishing company focused on spirituality, personal growth, and holistic living. In her last year at Sounds True, Chantal spearheaded the successful launch of the Wake Up Festival, Sounds True’s first annual national event with more than 25 speakers and 800 attendees. Shortly afterward, in September 2012, she founded Emerging Women and Emerging Women Live.
In 2002, after graduating with an MBA from the University of Colorado, Chantal left a 4-year career in the medical devices industry in search of work that would amplify her dedication to inner transformation and her passion for ideas. She continues to support the integration of consciousness and business through Emerging Women. Chantal’s ultimate vision is to weave feminine leadership and authenticity into businesses, and to create a world where women have a strong voice in the shaping of our future.
Chantal is also the creator of SoulSweat™, a dynamic, transformative dance fitness program. She has been teaching for 12 years, and released SoulSweat, the DVD, in 2007. Chantal believes that dance is one of the most powerful ways to connect to our present experience and discover the truth of who we are.
When she is not dancing or working, Chantal enjoys family time with her husband and two sons in Boulder, CO. She is also an avid Crossfit athlete, but don’t get her started!

Sarah Steiner, Content & Social Media
Sarah is a curious word nerd. She studied English, film production, film theory and writing at the University of Colorado in Denver, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude for her work on feminism and film.
After working a series of horizon-broadening jobs, she decided that content creation and marketing was the arena where she could best leverage her creative/intuitive side while empowering unique and visionary women. She has since run successful, authentic campaigns for a variety of female-owned businesses, from a vintage clothing shop with customers worldwide to a wryly funny gay parenting blog.
Sarah is energized and inspired by her work as Content Manager at Emerging Women, so much so that she recently founded her first non-profit: the Denver Tool Library.
Jammie Speyer, Relationship Support
Jammie is honored to be a part of the Emerging Women team. She earned her BA in Communication, and her MA in Sociology. Her post-grad research focused on the effects of race, class, and gender on women living in small rural communities along the US-Mexico Boulder. Her work with border communities made her a passionate advocate of marginalized groups, centered around community organizing and empowering women to reach their personal and professional goals. After grad school, Jammie worked as a Research Assistant for the LEAP Program at CU Boulder. At LEAP, Jammie’s role focused on increasing the number of tenured women in science, technology, engineering and math departments. Jammie uses the skills she has gained along the way to provide administrative support and exceptional service to the Emerging Women Community.
Jammie grounds herself in a strong yoga practice, and enjoys teaching prenatal and family yoga in her community. She loves hiking with her family, watching the History channel, and is a budding foodie. She lives near Boulder with her incredible husband and three amazing (and busy) school aged children.
